Global energy crisis and environmental pollution are becoming increasingly prominent.Energy-saving and environmental protection related industries are facing major development opportunities.The development of new energy is the general trend of the world.The development of new energy industry promotes the rapid development of battery technology,including power batteries.The status of traditional lead-acid batteries is challenged.As a well-known lead-acid enterprise in China,XT company is facing enormous challenges of survival and sustainable development under the pressure of environmental protection policy,energy crisis and the development of new energy battery technology.XT Company,as a listed company with over 20 years of market and manufacturing capacity in UPS,has a certain competitive foundation in the field of communication and energy storage,a sense of initiative and action in the field of power batteries(EV),especially in the field of fuel cells,and a place in the capital market.However,XT is not in the leading position in the field of lead-acid batteries.It lacks the competitive position in the emerging lithium battery field.At the same time,XT is facing the inherent pattern of the giants in the field of lead-acid batteries and the competition situation basically determined in the field of EV.Based on the analysis of XT company's competitive environment and rivals,the overall development of XT company's industry and the internal environment of XT company,starting from the business scope,growth vector,competitive advantages and disadvantages of the company's products,this paper analyses the development opportunities and threats,advantages and disadvantages of the current battery industry.Literature research method,case analysis method and interview method are adopted.It is pointed out that the core of XT's product development is to find the right path and make good use of its own advantages,not necessarily to reinforce the shortcomings.XT takes advantage of its market and manufacturing advantages,actively updates batteries in the traditional market,actively and strategically creates intervention conditions in emerging markets,and strategically strives to become a new product development strategy for solution suppliers in EV market.Finally,the product structure of traditional lead-acid batteries is optimized,lithium batteries and fuel cells are positively distributed,and the product development strategy of "lead-acid batteries + lithium batteries + fuel cells" is formed.
