As society’s attention to preschool education increases,children’s activity space in community park as an important venue for outdoor education activities should meet preschool education needs.However,following problems have occurred in children’s activity space: the site is too simple for preschool children,lack of educational function and the design cannot meet the needs of users.Therefore,it is necessary to summarize regular patterns of outdoor education activities and transform it into spatial features.At last,to summarize the design method of children ’s activity space in community park from the perspective of preschool education.The above-mentioned problems have triggered the thesis to construct a theoretical model of children’s activity space from the perspective of preschool education.By paying attention to the the usage habits of children and accompanying parents,the activities carried out in the venue,combined with the requirements of outdoor pre-school education for the activities,the graphic language is used to transform the regular patterns of education into spatial characteristics and design methods.The study adopted a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,combined with graphical analysis and statistical methods to build a design model,and tested the effectiveness of the application through empirical tests.The experiment was based on the community park in the main urban area of Nanjing.The content of the thesis focuses on the following parts:First,submit questions and construct technical methods.To analyze research direction and research status on the basis of relevant literature of community parks,preschool education and children’s activity space.Then,find out breakthrough and innovation points of the paper.See the introduction for details.Since the construction of the theoretical model is derived from the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,it is necessary to explain the implementation process of the qualitative and quantitative methods.The second chapter introduces the data collection,analysis steps and methods in detail.Second,to summarize current situation of outdoor education activities.To study the contents and patterns of outdoor education activities according to the relevant theories of preschool pedagogy,and also the status quo of children’s activity spaces in community parks and their behavior patterns and activities are studied.Detailed in Chapter 3.Third,construct a theoretical model for the design of children’s activity space in community parks.Based on the patterns summarized in Chapter 3,the characteristics of outdoor educational activity space are deduced,and construct planning methods of children ’s activity space in community park.Detailed in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5.Fourth,empirical research verification.Chapter 6 takes Nanhu Park as a case study,verifies the operability of the children’s activity space model,and optimizes Nanhu Park’s design.The thesis extracts the patterns of outdoor preschool education activities,summarizes the space model of education activities,to form a design methodology,which can be used as a theoretical reference to guide the design of activity spaces for children in community parks.
