Research On The GIS Based Evaluation Of Urban Characteristic Features Of Guangzhou Downtown

By the end of 2019,the urbanization rate of China's permanent population officially exceeded 60%,and urban construction has made remarkable achievements.Correspondingly,there are many problems behind the rapid urbanization: traffic congestion,urban waterlogging,the sameness of new buildings,the gradual disappearance of urban features and so on.Under this background,how to shape the city's image,get rid of the crisis of lack of features,and improve the overall appearance of the city have become an important means to enhance the city's overall strength and improve the city's competitiveness.First of all,this dissertation systematically combs the theoretical system of cityscape and urban characteristics,interprets it from the perspectives of urban features theory,urban features planning,urban image theory,summarizes the definition,concept and characteristics of cityscape,discusses the elements of cityscape,and summarizes the main methods of evaluation of cityscape and urban characteristics.In addition to the basic theoretical research,this paper focuses on the study of the elements of the urban characteristics of the central urban area of Guangzhou.Combined with the traditional research methods such as image space perception,the dissertation introduces the map space data,network data,government open data and other big data under the new data environment,and attempts to use quantitative data to show the urban characteristics and features that are close to the image description through the GIS spatial overlay analysis and the related methods of landscape evaluation,and then interpret and analyze it from a multidimensional perspective.To find out the core elements and corresponding space of the distribution of the characteristics of Guangzhou central urban area,to study the results of the evaluation of the features of each area,to explore its current defects and places for improvement,and to create a local style with a sense of place memory and residents' identity.To make up for the top-down style planning strategy in the existing planning,we hope to finally present a dynamic,renewable and operational evaluation system,which will provide support for the subsequent urban design,style management and control,public space construction and other practical work in the central urban area of Guangzhou.This dissertation hopes to summarize the evaluation system of the characteristics of other cities and regions through a specific research area,the central city of Guangzhou,and sort out the cognitive rules of the cognitive subjects of the cityscape and urban characteristics when they participate in the evaluation.It is hoped that the research can provide a set of effective evaluation tools for the style control of other cities,and implement the planning requirements of focusing on characteristics,ecology and style.
