At present, the number of colleges and universities in China is still steadily increasing. With the development of the "Double First-rate" strategy and the maturity of the "Industry-University-Research" cooperation model, higher requirements are placed on the discipline construction and architectural design of the colleges and universities.Laboratory buildings are a type of university buildings with the highest cost in construction and operation. However, the relevant theories on the design and construction of laboratory buildings in colleges and universities are relatively general, and the research on professional laboratory buildings from the perspective of discipline is even more scarce. This leads to many problems, such as the unreasonable environment for the construction of laboratory buildings in universities. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out more targeted and systematic research on specific types of laboratory buildings in colleges and universities.Based on the above-mentioned background, the author selects the biological laboratory buildings in Guangzhou,an area where both the scale and level of education are of strong representation as the research object, and conducts a large number of field surveys and interviews with. With the help of post-occupancy evaluation technology, this study conducts a quantitative and qualitative research and analysis of the built environment based on the user’s behavior habits and actual needs. It attempts to discover the problems in the design and construction of laboratory buildings in universities and analyzes the reasons. And then it sums up the corresponding design patterns and space optimization design strategies for related problems. The research is divided into the following three parts:The first part is the construction of research framework and evaluation system. The introduction describes the research background, definition of relevant concepts, and literature review at home and abroad, and then clarifies the research purpose and significance of this article and builds a research framework. The pilot research mainly includes exploratory research on the evaluation object and evaluation subject, and the evaluation system is constructed on this basis. The second part is the satisfaction evaluation, which focuses on the user’s overall cognitive research on the environment of laboratory buildings. It explores the explicit and implicit needs of users for the environment of the laboratory buildings from the aspects of functional space, comfort and convenience, sensory factors, facilities and equipment, management and maintenance,The third part is the evaluation of subjective tendencies, focusing on the user’s personal preference of the main space environment. It explores the user’s preference for the space of the laboratory and research room from the aspects of space attitude, current habits, aesthetic preference, and facilities and equipment. The fourth part is a summary of design patterns and optimization design strategies.According to the summary of the problems and users’ needs,it proposes design models and suggestions for the current biological laboratory buildings in universities, and summarizes the optimal design strategies of laboratory space, research room space, communication space and transportation space. |
