With the response of The Belt and Road Initiative and The Go global Strategy,the number and scale of overseas petrochemical EPC projects undertaken by construction enterprises in China are increasing year by year.However,due to the lack of overseas project management experience of most engineering construction enterprises,the overseas petrochemical EPC project schedule is often overdue,which leads to the project can not achieve the expected goal smoothly.Schedule management is an important part of overseas petrochemical EPC project management,and the quality of schedule management directly affects the success or failure of EPC project.Therefore,optimizing and improving the progress management content of overseas petrochemical EPC project can help to shorten the project duration,reduce the cost,and improve the project revenue and the competitiveness of engineering construction enterprises in overseas petrochemical EPC project.Taking the progress management of overseas The A petrochemical EPC project as a specific case,this paper discusses the content to be improved in the progress management of overseas petrochemical EPC project by finding,analyzing and solving the specific progress problems in the case.This paper adopts the method of case analysis and research.Firstly,it discusses the current situation of overseas projects undertaken by Chinese engineering construction enterprises and the existing progress control problems,and extends the purpose and significance of studying the progress management of overseas petrochemical EPC projects.Secondly,it introduces the background of the case and describes the practical problems encountered in the case project.Thirdly,it discusses the theory of project progress management.In this paper,fish bone analysis method is used to analyze the practical problems encountered in the case project,and the main factors affecting the progress of overseas petrochemical EPC project are summarized;then,combined with the theoretical knowledge and methods of project progress management,the main factors affecting the progress of overseas petrochemical EPC project are put forward with improvement countermeasures and suggestions;At the end of the paper,the contents that need to be improved in overseas petrochemical EPC project schedule management are summarized,and the development direction of overseas petrochemical EPC project schedule management is prospected.The research results of this paper can be used for reference for the progress management of similar projects of N company,improve the progress management level of EPC projects of overseas petrochemical of N company,reduce the project implementation cost,increase the actual revenue of the company,and achieve the goal of project progress management.At the same time,it can also provide useful reference for other construction enterprises in the progress management of overseas petrochemical EPC projects.
