A Research Of Advanced Quality Management On Development Of Automotive Parts From Quality Gate Perspective

In recent years,China's economy is changing from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development.It is imperative to strengthen product quality management,carry out quality improvement actions in an all-round way,promote the benchmarking with international advanced level,and carry forward the spirit of craftsman.This article takes Shanghai AM Automotive Parts Company as a specific object of study.The study of quality management for the process of new product development in the industry of automotive parts is conducted.The new advanced quality management system with “Quality Gate” view is established.Through on-the-spot investigation,application of Quality Gate,Advanced Product Quality Planning(APQP)and IATF16949 quality management relevant theory,combing the actual existing problems for the company,the design for advanced quality management system which is adapted to new part development are conducted.For the article,starting from AM company industrial characteristics and whole process of new project introduction,the deep analysis for actual application status and the existing problems during its new product development process are conducted.And then from Quality Gate view,the study and standardization of quality control points during each new product development phase are conducted.Thus a reproducible and practical advanced quality management system is established accordingly for the company.This can help company to improve and accelerate the quality of new product development and launch-speed to maintain market share and customer satisfaction,also further help company improve market competitiveness.First of all,the current research status of domestic and foreign in terms of advanced quality management has been analyzed.It is elaborated for the method of Quality Gate,Advanced Product Planning theory and IATF16949 relevant standards.Second,the basic information,organization and challenges which are facing in the AM Company have been investigated.All of existing problem occurred during new product development for the company has been investigated deeply.The deep analysis of the reason for the problems has been conducted.Thus the new advanced quality management system which can cover whole process of new product development has been studied.During the system design,the specific application of Quality Gate at each phase of new product development has been studied.The standardized inspection matrix has been established based on risk escalation mechanism with a traffic-light to ensure the successful of new product introduction.In the end,in order for smoothly implementation of new advanced quality management system in AM company,the organization is adjusted and optimized,performance evaluation matrix are established,the resource supporting measure and regulation system supporting measure are prepared to ensure its effectiveness of running.The assessment for actual implementation effect of new system is conducted accordingly.
