Research On The Adaptive Reuse Of The Urban Level Workers' Culture Palaces In Xi'an

In recent years,with the nationwide for historical building protection is more and more attention,the author of xi "an of historical building protection work also gradually be taken seriously,this paper selected topic is comes from the author's teaching team to follow the teacher organization of xi" an historic building survey and research work.Workers' culture palace and workers' club,as a special and concerned type,have come into the author's field of vision.During "the first five-year plan" period,the People's Republic of China,with the assistance of the Soviet union,planned to construct 156 basic industrial and national defense industrial projects nationwide.In order to meet the needs of ideological education,technical exchange and entertainment,Xi 'an federation of trade unions in 1958 in the city of factories,enterprises,units and other workers concentrated in the area of the unified deployment of eight municipal workers' cultural palace.In the 60 years since they were built,after an initial boom and a later decline,they have generally struggled.In the course of the author's investigation,it was found that three of the eight workers' cultural palaces had already demolished their original buildings,and the remaining five main activity areas were either rented or idle,no longer as brilliant as in the past.They were abandoned in the corners of the city and history,covered with dust and dying.This paper USES the existing xi "an city workers cultural palace as the research object,with its conservation and adaptive reuse as the research content,first through the literature search,collect and understand the workers cultural palace,social background,the main function of the architectural space and social functions,and it's need to protect the unique social value and historical value;Then,the planning,construction and development process of xi 'an municipal workers' cultural palace,as well as the detailed investigation and record of the current situation,will serve as the basis for the research on conservation and adaptive reuse.Finally,based on the theory and experience of conservation and reuse of historic buildings,specific conservation measures and adaptive reuse methods are proposed.The author hopes that the research results of this paper can not only provide some material guidance for the protection and adaptive reuse of xi 'an municipal workers' cultural palace,but also provide reference value for the future reuse of more workers' cultural palaces across the country and generate some positive significance.
