In recent years,as China’s economic strength has increased, motorized transportation has developed rapidly, and urban road traffic pressure has increased dramatically, resulting in a series of problems such as traffic jams, unsafe travel safety, and reduced travel efficiency, which have seriously affected healthy and sustainable urban hairpins..For a long time, all urban road spaces have given way to motor vehicles, and the slow traffic chiefs have been neglected and ignored. At present, with the change of people’s lifestyles and the pursuit of high-quality life, slow life gradually returns to people’s vision. In this case, how to improve the structure of the city’s slow travel system, optimize street space, and promote various transportation The integration of development methods and the return of a safe and comfortable slow-moving system to citizens have become a real problem to be solved in the city.In the study of such problems, the research on the optimization of the slow moving system of the old city district with historical value is rare.As a famous historical and cultural city,Xi’an ’s historical and cultural value is immeasurable, especially represented by the Ming City District surrounded by the Ming City Wall.Highlighting the characteristics of the ancient city, therefore, this article selects Xi’an Mingcheng slow-moving system as the research object, and puts forward appropriate suggestions for the optimization of Xi’an Mingcheng slow-moving system.Firstly, the research background of the slow-moving system is expounded, and the urgency of the slow-moving system research is put forward. The research object and content, purpose and meaning, methods and framework and related research at home and abroad are summarized. The three aspects of spatial form, land use characteristics and human landscape are described in terms of spatial scale, plot area, land use function, land use layout, historical value, and tourism resources, and focus on the description of the relationship with the slow-moving system to highlight the Mingcheng District Status quo characteristics.Secondly, describe the current status of the slow-moving system in Mingcheng District, starting with the characteristics of network distribution, space environment, functional facilities and vitality, and describing the characteristics of the status quo with field research and various analysis methods, such as revealing from the road accessibility The characteristics of the slow-moving network, revealing the characteristics of the slow-moving space from the construction of an evaluation system, revealing the features of functional facilities from the diversity of road functions, and revealing the characteristics of vitality and heat from the heat map,and according to the characteristics obtained from the survey experience and analysis, from the slow-moving network and slow-moving Space and slow-moving functions raise current status issues. Finally, for the problems in Mingcheng District, the overall optimization principles and optimization strategies are proposed, and through the comparison of vitality characteristics with network accessibility, space quality, and functional richness, the road sections with typical problems are selected and the transformation strategies are proposed. It is optimized for the slow-moving system of the old city with historical protection value.
