Research On Garden Design Of The Elderly Community Based On The Behavior Of The Elderly

With the increasingly obvious trend of aging in the current society,Chinese people’s concept of providing for the aged is gradually changing.Therefore,community pension began to be accepted and promoted by the elderly.The landscape design of the elderly community is an indispensable part of improving the old-age service function of the community and providing a better living environment for the elderlyFrom the perspective of landscape architecture,this paper starts with the theoretical research on the physiological changes and needs,psychological changes and needs and behavioral laws of the elderly,and focuses on the methods and key points of community landscape design for the elderly which based on the behavioral activities of the elderly.First of all,this paper defines the concept from the object of study: the elderly and the elderly community,and through the study of ergonomics,environmental behavior and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory.the purpose of this paper is to provide a basic theoretical basis for the summary of the behavior and activities of the elderly and the design of the garden space of the elderly community.After that,the article analyzes the changes of the physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly,the law of behavior and activities of the elderly,and summarizes the impact of the above elements on the landscape space design.It is concluded that the landscape design of the elderly community should meet the principles of safety and comfort,functional diversity,rationality of distribution and identity of participation.The paper starts from the research on garden space layout,walking system construction,site element organization and infrastructure design,summarizes the design strategy,and analyzes the design points that can be used for reference in excellent cases at home and abroad.Finally,the theoretical research will be applied in Shandong Wulian Kangfu Community garden design project,hoping to provide a reference for the construction of a livable elderly community in the future.
