Study On The Strategies Of Public Spaces Sharing In Jimei School Village

Under the background of the construction and development of the shared cities,the renewal of the public spaces is facing with challenges and opportunities as public resources shared by the citizens.As the historical and cultural block,the moderate sharing of the public spaces in Jimei School Village is conducive to integrate the three separate areas which could incorporate the campus,residence,and scenic spots.Meanwhile,the existed public spaces could be vitalized,the social interactions between students,residents,and visitors could be promoted.Through the literature review,this paper makes an empirical analysis on the public spaces in Jimei School Village by referring to the PSPL method produced by Yang Gail from the respects of both material entity and the public social life.On the one hand,the equipment and layout of the public spaces is investigated.On the other hand,the public activity rules,the shared requirements,as well as the shared satisfaction could therefore be analyzed.Although the public spaces in Jimei School Village possess good material basis,which means various types,the multidimensional hierarchy,comfortable natural environment in high quality,the public spaces could still not meet the increasingly diverse needs of the students,residents,and tourists.The efficiency of public spaces using is still low resulting from the functional obsolescence and the mismatched supply-demand,which means the public spaces have not been truly shared by the public to some extent.Consequently,the author interprets the motivation factors and mechanism of public spaces sharing in Jimei School Village from the four dimensions,which could include the reasonable allocation and layout,the comprehensive quality,the differences of social classes,as well as the openness of public spaces.In accordance with the theory of appropriate sharing,the strategies would be introduced from the aspects of material spaces,economic spaces,social spaces,as well as the system design.Firstly is to improve the configuration and the layout of the public spaces,the equipment of hardware and software facilities should also be improved for realizing the comprehensive quality of public spaces;Secondly is to revitalize the commercial spaces and enrich the commercial activities in Jimei School village;Thirdly is to functionally transform the existed public spaces into inclusive spaces for the public activities and interactions to eliminate stratum differences.Finally,by formulating the sharing system,the proper sharing of the public spaces in Jimei School Village could be finally realized for integrative development of the campus areas,the residential areas,and the scenic areas.
