Some traditional villages areexperiencing unprecedented process of village. Xiaozhou Village is the ancient village withLingnan Water Village in the marginal zone of Guangzhou. It both are rich in traditionalsettlement culture, but also contains a part of the city culture.Firstly, With examine conditions on the ground of public space in Xiaozhou Villageand the accumulation of relevant research data, we find that Xiaozhou Village indifferent periods,and its the dominant factor about change affecting in public space arenot the same. In order to guide its activities and the activities of the villagers have beenchanges in the way and ultimately its public space property will change accordingly.Secondly, I refer to the ancient village of evaluation methods and evaluation of urbanpublic space. with its own characteristics and public space usage analysis, I set upXiaozhou Village status evaluation of public space.Again, according to evaluation,Ievaluate their status public space From the features and characteristics, tourist facilitiesand folk culture in three areas and make the same type of space relative evaluation. It includes landscape style control,functional facilities planning, traditional folk cultural continuity, activate village tourismdevelopment and the design of XiaoZhou Village focus on public space block.
