Technological progress,fierce market competition and diversification of consumer requirements promote automobile manufacturers to provide higher technology and more diversified products to the market,in order to enhance product competitiveness.These market factors are also directly transmitted to the parts manufacturer as the upstream of the automotive industry.As a supplier of automotive springs and related components,M company actively develops new parts and components to meet market demand according to market demand and changes.However,compared with mature products,quality is an important concern in the process of new product development,and also a weak area of M company.Strengthening the quality management in new product development and improving the quality of new products play a very important role in enhancing the market competitiveness of M company.This paper analyses the quality management problems of M company in the process of new product development,and puts forward the pertinent improvement measuresFirstly,the background,purpose,significance and research status at home and abroad of the research are elaborated,and the connotation of quality management,APQP theory,management refinement theory,PDCA theory are summarized and summarized to guide the follow-up study of this paper.Based on the analysis of the present situation of quality management of new product development in M company,this paper points out that there are some problems in quality management of new product development in M company,such as large deviation between the quality of new product and the expectation of customers,high failure rate,missing quality control nodes in some processes,and missing quality control in some processes,etc.,and points out the main reasons include:Customers’ product characteristics are not fully identified,lack of effective quality control tools,and quality management does not cover every link.On this basis,this paper puts forward that M company can improve quality management from three aspects:APQP-based quality management door audit,strengthening the quality supervision and control of the whole process,and fine management of quality work.At the same time,M company can strengthen the construction of quality management organization,do a good job in quality management PDCA cycle and other aspects to do a good job of improving measures.
