Research On The Design Strategy Of Hospice Architectural Space For The Elderly

With the increasing number of the elderly population in China,the prevalence rate of cancer,tumor and other chronic diseases is also increasing,in addition,the miniaturization of family structure,and the increasingly serious phenomenon of empty nest and lonely death in the elderly population,make "how to ensure the quality of life of the elderly at the end of their lives,so that they can go to the end of their lives peacefully and with dignity",is receiving more and more attention from the society.However,at present,there is a lack of research on "how to give the elderly more comfortable and more humane end-of-life experience through the design of hospice architectural space".Therefore,based on the growing demand for hospice and the current situation that hospice architectural space design received little attention and lagged behind in research,this paper tentatively researches the design strategy of hospice architectural space for the elderly,discussed how to realize the humanistic care and hospice for the elderly at the end of life through architectural space design,and how to pass the humanistic thought of hospice through architectural space design effectively improves the enthusiasm of material space.Firstly,through the investigation of the needs of the elderly,this paper understands the elderly's expectations of hospice space environment and hospice needs,on this basis,summarized the configuration needs of the elderly's hospice functional space.Secondly,studied and analyzed the excellent cases of hospice architecture in developed countries,and abstracts the key points and experience that can be used to guide the design of hospice architectural space in ChinaThen,based on the field survey of hospice architectural space in Shanghai,this paper summarized the existing problems in the design and use of hospice architectural space at present in China.Eventually,this paper tentatively put forward the design strategy of hospice architectural space suitable for China's national conditions,summarized the design points of each functional space,and gave the corresponding design examples.
