Study On Architecture Design Of The Day Care Center For The Elderly Based On The Daily Behavior

In some areas of China,community pension is being vigorously promoted as a new pension model.At a place close to the family,elderly people can enjoy the service,professional medical care and facilities which is provided by the community.The day care center for the elderly people gives consideration to both the feelings of the family and the pressure of social pension.As an important carrier of the community care model,it is a matter of great urgency.Taking the needs and characteristics of the elderly as a stand firstly,this article studied the psychological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,analyzed their needs in community life.It is sure that day care centers are very important for the elderly live.Secondly three day care centers in Suzhou were selected to investigate the present situation of indoor and outdoor space and facilities and the behavior of the old people in all kinds of space were observed and recorded.Then this article analyzed the characteristics of the behavior of the elderly and censused their needs of action space and satisfaction.It studied on behavior and activity of the elderly consists of the types of action,functional space type of action,activity records of the elderly and facilities usage.At last it explored the negative factors that do not adapt to the behavior of the elderly in the existing functional space of the day care center after analysis of research results,and searched material and environmental factors affecting the behavior of the elderly in the mining space.According to the survey aboove,it summarized the problems in the building design of community day care centers,and put forward both the corresponding strategy on the function,space design,facilities and outdoor space and the design scheme of three case day care centers.
