As a pillar industry for the development of the national economy,in recent years,the development rate of China's construction industry has gradually slowed down,the growth rate of newly signed contracts has been decreasing year after year,the rate of growth of the industry's profit rate has slowed down,the proportion of loss-making enterprises and the total number have continued to increase,and industry competition has become more intense.However,the scale of production and operation of the construction industry is still increasing with each passing day.The number of construction enterprises and the employed population is still increasing,and the capacity of industrial construction is also rising.In this environment,exploring the current status of China's construction industry production capacity has become a hot topic inside and outside the industry.Studying the development status of the capacity utilization level of the construction industry and discovering the crux of the construction industry's development have important practical significance for the sustainable and stable development of the construction industry.This article analyzes the construction industry's own production capacity issues,and the industries closely related to the construction industry-the building materials industry and the real estate industry.This article does not measure its capacity utilization status,and has not analyzed the degree of its impact on the construction industry capacity.This article first introduces the concepts of capacity-related concepts and related theories.According to the characteristics of the construction industry,the co-integration method is selected to measure the capacity utilization level of the construction industry,and the calculation principle of co-integration to measure the capacity utilization level is explained.Secondly,the evolution of China's construction industry capacity utilization level in each year from 1991 to 2017 was calculated,and the overall level of China's construction industry capacity and the provincial and municipal capacity levels were compared and analyzed.Third,analyze the influencing factors of the current status of capacity utilization in the construction industry,and screen out five influencing factors such as economic fluctuations,government intervention,technological level,market competition,and the proportion of state-owned economy.The proportion,the technical equipment ratio of the construction industry,the average wage of the employed persons in the urban unit of the construction industry as a proportion of the average wage of theemployed persons in the urban unit,and the proportion of the total output value of the state-owned construction industry to the total output value of the construction industry are expressed.The influence factors of five factors and the level of capacity utilization are explained.Finally,relevant policy suggestions for improving the overcapacity in China's construction industry are put forward,providing a decision and reference for the government to more effectively resolve the overcapacity in the construction industry.
