Building Information Modeling is an emerging technology with revolutionary significance in the construction industry,which is of great significance to the future development of information technology in the construction industry.Guided by market demand and government policies,BIM technology has developed rapidly in China in recent years,and has achieved good results in many cities.However,compared with countries such as the United States,South Korea,Singapore and Europe,BIM is still far from the application experience and technical level in China.In addition,due to the vast territory of China and the differences in economic,technological and construction levels in different regions,resulting in the uneven development of BIM technology in China,the promotion process of BIM technology in many regions is relatively slow,and the overall popularity is not good.In view of this situation,it is necessary to explore the differences in the influencing factors of BIM technology implementation in different regions of China,and to formulate a tilt policy in a differentiated manner to promote the promotion and popularization of BIM technology in China.Based on the Regional Economic Imbalance,this paper defined the concept of Regional Economic Development Imbalance,and then analyzed the overall characteristics and causes of regional economic development imbalance,as well as the impact on China’s construction industry and BIM technology application.On this basis,On this basis,China was divided into developed areas of BIM technology and underdeveloped areas of BIM technology,and the application of BIM technology in these two areas was compared and analyzed.On the basis of a large amount of literature research,this paper sorted out the influencing factors of 56 BIM technology promotion.Because the research was based on the perspective of construction enterprises,this paper filtered and combed 56 influencing factors through group discussion and expert scoring methods.It identified the influencing factors of the adoption of BIM technology by 28 construction companies,and divided them into six categories: technology,economy,organization,policy norms,personnel and external environment.According to the identified 28 influencing factors,this paper designed a questionnaire,and the selected Shanghai and cities as representative cities of BIM technology developed areas and BIM technology less developed areas,and conducted an empirical investigation on the construction enterprises in the two regions.The article used a variety of statistical analysis methods to compare the relative importance of the survey data of the two cities and the subgroup differences,and compared the survey results of the two cities.The results of the study show that the construction companies in the two cities have similarities in the consideration of BIM technology,but there are also many differences.According to the results of comparative analysis,the article finally proposed targeted countermeasures for the promotion and application of BIM technology in underdeveloped areas of BIM technology.This paper innovatively compared the factors influencing the adoption of BIM technology by construction companies.The results of the paper can provide opinions for the promotion and popularization of BIM technology in Chinese construction enterprises.
