In the process of industrialization and urbanization in China,the construction industry has played a supporting and a significant role in promoting the development of China's national economy.However,as the pace of economic development has slowed down,the public has slowly shifted its investment to other industries,and the development speed of the construction industry has slowed down and faced many problems.The government provides policy support and capital guarantee for large-scale construction enterprises.Large-scale construction enterprises are large in scale,have strong construction capabilities and ability to cope with risks.Compared with large state-owned construction enterprises,small construction enterprises are naturally weak,and their advantages in market competition are not obvious.Based on the theoretical analysis of the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized construction enterprises,this paper takes the strategy of the transformation and development of Yunnan Y Company as the research object,and uses the analysis tools such as PEST and SWOT to introduce the basic situation of Y company and the transformation and upgrading situation and strategy.And from the aspects of improving organizational security,improving capital security,providing talent security,strengthening technical security,and drawing on the successful experience of other enterprises,the countermeasures and suggestions for the implementation of transformation and upgrading of Y Company were put forward.This study believes that small and medium-sized construction companies such as Y Company are in a situation where the strategy of transformation and upgrading is unclear,the introduction and implementation of new technologies is difficult,and there is a lack of transformational technical support and transformation funding support.Through the analysis of the added value of the smile curve,the transformation goals are set in four different directions: product,industrial capacity,management and operation.According to the formulation of goals,the strategic plan is formulated from four aspects: technology strategy,marketing strategy,management strategy,and human resources strategy.In order to help enterprises develop better,it can be achieved by strengthening technical innovation,strengthening informatization construction,formulating talent development strategies,improving project management capabilities,and introducing advanced technologies such as BIM.In addition,in the project construction,we must carry forward the spirit of exploration,actively learn project management models such as EPC,PPP,BT,etc.,to achieve diversified management of engineering projects,and thus improve economic efficiency.The results of this research can promote small and medium-sized construction enterprises represented by Y company to enhance their core competitiveness,seize market opportunities,and successfully complete transformation and upgrading.It has certain reference significance for the transformation and upgrading of the current small and medium-sized construction enterprises.
