Research On Procurement Optimization Of XP Company

Xp company as a professional manufacturer of medical power,set up the first manufacturing plant in kunshan city on 2005,who has experienced a rapid growth in past 10 years.There are about one thousand people in factory.However,till now the XP factory still run by the traditional electronic manufacturing industry’s operation mode and management concept.While there are more and more enterprises have been introduced into the lean production system.Especially lean supply chain has been highlighted to a strategic level to redefine the relationship between suppliers and manufacturers.Lean concept emphasized that the value-added process and reducing waste.Lean supply chain has become the new darling of scholars and enterprise managers.With the introducing of new projects of Y,it become more and more eager imperative to optimize the procurement operation for XP company.As the purchasing manager,I have inescapable responsibility to study the existing procurement operation and work out how to optimize the existing purchasing operation with taking this opportunity of writing this thesis.This paper aimed to study the scientific classification of the raw materials and suppliers for XP company.Firstly,to summary the existing purchasing process,material classification and supplier management.Through the analysis,the scientific classification of the raw materials and suppliers be defined as the primary step for the optimization of procurement operation.Secondly to separately study the classification of raw material and suppliers based on kraljic matrix,Define the calculations for the two dimensionalities of risk and Importance with Delphi method and AHP.Raise up different purchasing strategy for different category of raw materials and suppliers.Lastly based on the research,apply it as a demonstration for material purchasing on how to take action on optimization on procurement strategy and supplier management with Strategic suppliers as well actively improvement on procurement performance index.In this paper,the theory and the conclusions not only have direct guidance to the procurement of XP company,but also to have certain reference for the similar enterprises.
