Research On Traditional Architectural Gatehouse In Western Fujian

Door building as the "face" of the building is the key decorative object in the buildin(g)In western Fujian,there is a proverb of "four or two houses in a jackpot gate building".Therefore,Hakka people all try their best to make it the focus of their performance,thus creating a large number of exquisite and complex gates with Hakka characteristics.The gate building in Western Fujian is an important material carrier of Hakka culture and has great research value in culture and art.This paper takes the gate building of Hakka traditional buildings in eight counties in Western Fujian as the research object.Based on the analysis of the background of the formation of the gate building and the field investigation of the existing gate building in this area,the research results are classified and sorted out by referring to the collected data and related literatur(e)On this basis,the gate building in Western Fujian is studied in detai(l)Firstly,the layout,form,elevation,plane,material and other aspects of the portal building are comprehensively classified and analyzed,and the basic characteristics of the portal building in Western Fujian are obtaine(d)Secondly,the portal building is decomposed into three elements: building,door and facad(e)The forms and characteristics of three elements of different forms of the portal building are studied,and the three elements of the building,door and facade are analyzed again.Reorganization,to explore the combination rules and characteristics of different forms of portal;finally,the three elements of the portal building,the door,and the decoration of the facade components are analyzed and described in detai(l)At the same time,in view of the unsatisfactory preservation status of gate buildings in Western Fujian,the paper puts forward some suggestions for their protection and reus(e)Generally speaking,this paper conducts a comprehensive and detailedstudy of the traditional gate buildings in Western Fujian,with a view to making a modest contribution to the study of regional architecture,and providing basic information and reference for the protection and restoration of the gate buildings in Western Fujian and the design of modern residential gates.
