According to the national new urbanization plan,"we should accelerate the integrated planning and construction of urban agglomerations and give full play to the supporting and guiding role of comprehensive transportation network in the urbanization pattern".Comprehensive transportation network is an important carrier and foundation of new urbanization.The improvement of highway system is one of the key factors and important driving forces in the process of new urbanization.This paper takes each region of Shaanxi Province as the research object,and studies the correlation between regional highway development and new urbanization in Shaanxi Province by using the related theories of highway economics,population economics,statistics and econometrics.Firstly,by summarizing relevant theories,this paper constructs the index evaluation system of highway development and new urbanization development respectively.Matlab software is used to measure the new urbanization level of Shaanxi Province and other cities from 2006 to 2017 based on entropy method,and analyze the development level of highway and new urbanization in different regions of Shaanxi Province.The level of highway development in Shaanxi Province and other cities fluctuates and tends to be stable,with significant differences among cities,showing the unbalanced status of the highest level of development in Guanzhong,the second highest level in southern Shaanxi and the lowest level in northern Shaanxi;The level of new urbanization in Shaanxi Province is on the whole low,and each city shows a growing trend year by year,with obvious regional differences,showing the characteristics of the highest level in Guanzhong,the middle in northern Shaanxi and the lowest in southern Shaanxi.Secondly,a coupling coordination model between regional highway development and new urbanization is constructed based on panel data.Using the Matlab software calculates and analyzes the coupling coordination degree and using ArcGIS software to explore the relationship of the space difference.The degree of coupling coordination in each city changes significantly and the overall trend is increasing,and the difference is obvious;Shaanxi Province has a low level of coupling coordination,showing a U-shaped spatial distribution from southwest to northeast on the whole.Finally,the correlation test,panel co-integration test,granger causality test and panel regression analysis are carried out using Stata software to explore the correlation between highway development and new urbanization in Shaanxi Province.Highway development and new urbanization development in the whole province and its regions have a co-directional relationship,and the relevance ranking is north Shaanxi > southern Shaanxi > Guanzhong;There is a good long-term equilibrium state between highway development and new urbanization in Shaanxi and its regions;There is a two-way granger causality between the variables of the whole province and each region.The driving effect of regional highway development on new urbanization in northern Shaanxi lags for one year,while the other regions need 4-7 years to be reflected.The driving effect of regional new urbanization on highway development can be fully demonstrated in 2-3 years;There is a significant positive correlation between highway development and new urbanization in the whole province and the three regions,that is,highway development has a positive impact on new urbanization in the region,among which the effect of highway development in northern Shaanxi is better than that in southern Shaanxi and Guanzhong. |
