The Xiangjiang River Basin is located in the radiation area of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the South China Economic Circle. The region is the core area of Hunan Province’s economic and social development. With the accelerating process of urbanization, population development and industrial agglomeration brought about by urbanization have led to increasingly prominent resource and ecological problems in the Xiangjiang River Basin, and increasing pressure for sustainable development. In order to explore the scientific development path of the river basin, take the lead in blazing a path of two-oriented society construction in the country, and promote the coordinated development of new urbanization and ecological environment, under the strategic requirements of the provincial party committee and the provincial government "four modernizations and two types",a new type of Xiangjiang River Basin is proposed.Suggestions on the development of the coupling and coordination relationship between urbanization and ecological environment are of great significance. The article uses various methods such as multivariate statistical analysis, entropy weight method, coupling coordination degree, etc.,combined with geographic information system technology, and adopts relevant statistical data such as "China Urban Statistical Yearbook","Hunan Statistical Yearbook" and "China Urban Construction Statistical Yearbook".This paper studies the coupling coordination level of new urbanization and ecological environment in 9 prefectures and cities in the Xiangjiang River Basin from 2011 to 2019.Firstly,by defining the related concepts of new-type urbanization and ecological environment,it analyzes the basic theory of new-type urbanization, ecological environment and the relationship between new-type urbanization and ecological environment.Secondly, using multivariate statistical analysis method, the paper analyzes the new urbanization, ecological environment of Xiangjiang River basin from the aspects of population urbanization, spatial urbanization, economic urbanization and social urbanization,as well as ecological environment pressure, ecological environment status and ecological environment response.Status quo characteristics. Then,a comprehensive evaluation index system for new urbanization and ecological environment in the Xiangjiang River Basin was constructed respectively, and the entropy weight method was used to determine the index weight.Through the comprehensive evaluation model,it was found that the comprehensive development level of the new urbanization in the Xiangjiang River Basin from 2011 to 2019 developed from a low-level stage to a In the intermediate stage, the comprehensive development level of the ecological environment develops from an intermediate stage to a higher stage. Then, through the coupling coordination degree model, the study finds that the coupling coordination between the new urbanization and the ecological environment in the Xiangjiang River Basin has developed from an initial near-disorder to a basic coordinated development.Through the grey correlation model, the key factors of the coordinated development of new urbanization and ecological environment are analyzed and obtained. Finally, according to the above research conclusions, from the aspects of promoting the quality transformation of new urbanization in the Xiangjiang River Basin to achieve comprehensive development;improving the ecological system construction of the Xiangjiang River Basin to achieve green development;Countermeasures and suggestions for the coordinated development of urbanization and ecological environment.
