In recent years, traditional villages have rapidly disappeared, along with the "root" of the Chinese culture built on traditional villages.Facing extreme natural environment, traditional villages have formed their own ecological water-control space, which was under the guidance of their cultural and cosmic views,by adjusted the relationship between ecology and culture and sought the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in Northeast China. It is very important to explore the relation mechanism with culture to protect the ecological water-control space. In the context of cultural self-confidence,it has aroused wide resonance from all sectors of society. This paper combs the cultural internal and external environment of 32 traditional villages in Northeast China, and puts forward two classified indicators based on regional and ethnic characteristics, which will be used to classify Northeast China,by model deduction, comparative culture and inductive deduction, and typical case studies,The traditional villages are divided into 5 categories,9 categories and 19 subgroups.Under the guidance of classical strategies of water control in ancient cities, the ecological watercotrol space is divided into the location layout at the gully level, the drainage and storage system at the village level and the functional units at the village level.Traditional culture is divided into material culture, institutional culture and spiritual culture in the process of adapting to nature and society. Then, the corresponding explicit and implicit structure of ecological water-control space and culture is established. From the above research perspective, five typical cases of Hetuala village,Longgangzi village,Sanjiazi village,Shuinan village and Xigou village of the Han nationality are studied in depth. They are selected on the two parallel levels of "different regions of the same nationality" and "different nationalities in the same region",based on the two principles of regional typicality and full adaptation to the environment."Different needs of people" is the inherent motive force of the spatial diversity of traditional village ecological water control culture."Human needs" mainly refers to adapting to natural needs in the process of regional factor vibration and social needs in the process of national factor vibration. We have established the three-dimensional growth model of ecological water-control space, and generation mechanism of cultural, and coupled the threedimensional model and correlation mechanism.Based on the selection principle of typical cases and guided by the maximization of ethnic differences, the rationality of the correlation mechanism is verified by selecting Buddhist Temple villages of Mongolian nationality. Finally, facing the living inheritance of the ecological water-control space in the contemporary traditional villages, the correlation m mechanism has triggered relevant thinking.
