Research On Spatial Morphology Of Traditional Villages In The Northeast Region

As the most distinctive area featured by northern minority,The Northest region of china posses abundant and typical ethnic group characteristics as the most distinctive elements of northeast region.The northeast culture is a suitable culture created due to the joint effect form various factora of Northeastern by all ethnic ancestors,such as its nature,society,culture,history,etc.Since late Zhou Dynasty,the northeast ethnic ancestors came to their appearances in northeast region with groups,making northeast region a settlement area with small scale.The Tang Dynasty multiplied,during the Qing Dynasty,its population increased significantly and people spread all round northeast region.They chose plac es like the wide planins,hills,basins,valleys,benchland,etc,as their settlement areas,which exists many common characteristics and latent rules.The spatial form of these traditional villages is resulted form the spatial arrangement of its internal activities such as its own ethnic culture,natural environment,social structure,the logic of human behaviors,etc.Space is no more than an external gathering form.The social order of the village affected by the “religion and culture” has fundamental influence on the thoughts and behaviors of the villagers,which defines the spatial construction and form of the villages.So this paper trys build a research system on the northeast traditional villages with multi-disciplinary synthesis instead of a research about surface of physical form of villages.Thus,what the characteristic of the spatial form of traditional villages in northeast region are.what the specific contents and construction meanings of its space is.How the ethnic characteristics in its spatial construction play its role.For the problems above utilizing reaearch metheds in term of morphology,cultural anthropology,spatial sociology,etc.As well as taking advantage of the documentary records,and field investigation,this paper extensively collected the Northeast traditional villages within northeast area as the object of the resaerch.this paper also gives comparison in regard to similarities and differences of the villages distribution and forms in different areas within northeast region to explore its inherent law and influential factors.Also it actively refered to the investigations and research results form and contractual form of the villages as well as its activities and society,as well as gives explanation to the inherent social behind its surface.In the end,based on the research about regional features,form characteristics and social culture,traditional villages in northeast region above,combining villages history with social culture in current background,to dig elements which influenced villages up to now.with recreation of social culture,to continue keeping connotative meaning of spaces,then aiming to protecting and keeping heritage of northeast ethnic culture and spacial form of villages and architeceure.Finally,this paper puts forward totally inside-out and static-dynamic protection strategy for traditional villages in northeast region.
