Full Face Rock Tunnel Boring Machine(TBM)is a large-scale underground tunnel construction equipment that integrates rock boring,gallet removing and lining.It is widely used in Tunnel construction because of its high efficiency,safety,high quality and small disturbance to rock mass.Tunnel construction involved in railway transportation,urban underground development,oil and gas pipelines,water conservancy and hydropower,national defense,and so on.The disc cutter is a key component that interacts directly with the rock mass when the TBM bores rock.It is directly related to the TBM tunneling efficiency,and the replacement cost after the damage failure accounts for a large proportion of the total construction cost.Therefore,it is extremely important to study the force of disc cutter breaking rock movement.Because of the high requirement of the test conditions,it is of great significance to simulate the rock breaking movement and study the stress of rock breaking with different installation methods for improving the service life.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper introduces the rock boring mechanism of disc cutter and several force prediction formulas;Summarizes the installation method and theory of disc cutter on the cutter head;Compares the forward tilt installation and the traditional installation on the rock energy consumption and rock boring front point.(2)The finite element software ABAQUS was used to establish a rock-boring simulation model of the disc cutter and compared with the data obtained by the prediction formula of Colorado School of Mines to verify the rationality of the simulation model.(3)Calculate the theoretical optimal forward tilt mounting angle for the disc cutter at different mounting radii and depth of cutting.The ABAQUS simulation is performed on a certain range of installation angles including the theoretical optimal rake angle,and the lateral force data is analyzed to verify the correctness of the theoretical optimal forward tilt angle.(4)Comparing the three-way force(vertical force,rolling force,side force)of the disc cutter installation and the conventional installation rock boring movement under different installation radius and penetration depth,obtaining the similarities and differences between the two installation methods.
