The Efficiency Of The Port Industry And Its Influencing Factors Listed Companies

Relying on "The Belt and Road" construction,the port enterprises in our country to get a rare opportunity for development.Port enterprise as a strategic fulcrum of "the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road",how to improve the efficiency of port enterprises,and actively integrate into the construction of "The Belt and Road"has become the primary problem facing China's port enterprises.Previous scholars usually evaluate port enterprises from the perspective of port,but both of them are different after all,and the research methods used are single.In this context,this paper combines the data envelopment analysis and the stochastic frontier analysis method to measure the efficiency of Chinese port listed companies and its influencing factors.It has far-reaching significance for port enterprise depth into the "The Belt and Road" construction.This paper first uses data envelopment analysis(DEA)to measure the comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of 16 port listed companies in 2010-2016 years.It is found that the low comprehensive efficiency of the port enterprises is caused by the pure technical efficiency and the scale efficiency.For data envelopment analysis(DEA),it is impossible to further sort multiple effective evaluation units,this paper uses stochastic frontier analysis to further analyze the efficiency of 16 port enterprises,and concludes that the efficiency of port enterprises is only 0.419,and there is still much room for improvement.In order to find the reasons of non efficiency of port enterprises,construct a translog stochastic frontier production function model,and assume that the human capital,ownership concentration,firm size,port hinterland economy,financial leverage and profitability will have an impact on the technical efficiency level of the company,on data processing using FRONTIER4.1 software to measure the actual level the technical efficiency of the 16 port listed enterprise for 2010-2016 years,and empirical test on its influencing factors.The research shows that besides the high concentration of ownership,there will be a significant negative correlation between the efficiency of port enterprises,and other factors mentioned above are positively correlated with the efficiency of port enterprises.Based on the results of empirical analysis,the author puts forward five countermeasures and suggestions in accordance with the actual situation:Establishing the"human capital"concept,pay attention to personnel training and incentive;Optimizing the ownership structure,promote the diversification of shareholders;The appropriate expansion of the scale of enterprises,give full play to the scale effect;Regional cooperation,strengthening the economic hinterland of port enterprise support;Management innovation enhance the efficiency of port enterprises.
