Study On The Brick Carving Art Of Traditional Residential Buildings In The Western Mountainous Areas Of Handan

Chinese brick carving has a long history.It has been called "soul treasure" by experts at home and abroad.Since the brick carvings were listed as intangible cultural heritage in 2008,as the public's protection of intangible cultural heritage has increased,traditional brick buildings have revived hopes for rejuvenation.The status quo of building brick carving protection of traditional houses in Handan western mountainous area suffer mixed fortunes.The joy is the baptism of countless years,the traditional houses preserve a lot of architectural bricks that are relatively complete and implication.What is worrying is the influence of various ideology after the liberation,the indifference of the villagers,the lack of protection consciousness,the loss of traditional craftsmen,the impact of mechanical brick carving on traditional hand-made brick carvings,etc.The brick carving protection and inheritance of the traditional residential buildings in Handan western mountainous area are facing difficulties.Based on the above background,this paper chooses brick carvings of traditional residential buildings in western mountainous areas of Handan as the research object.The paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first chapter is the first part of the paper.This part mainly explains the research object,background,current situation,content,purpose,method,significance and framework of the paper.The second chapter to the fourth chapter are the second part of the thesis.This paper mainly discusses the artistic characteristics of brick carving in traditional residential buildings in Handan's western mountainous areas.Through the investigation of the brick sculptures of traditional residential buildings in Handan western mountainous area,this paper analyzes its artistic forms and summarizes its unique features in a comparative form.First of all,the paper analyzes the humanistic environment that affects the formation of brick sculptures in traditional residential buildings in the western mountainous areas of Yunnan.Secondly,we select the traditional villages with relatively intact bricks and bricks from the list of traditional Chinese villages.Later,in the selected villages,We study its detailed embodiment,pattern connotation,production process and style characteristics;Finally,based on the above analysis,compared with the brick sculptures of Beijing,Tianjin,Shanxi,Suzhou,Huizhou,Guangdong and Linxia,it provides inspiration for discovering the simple,dignified and elegant artistic features of the traditional residential building brick sculptures in Handan western mountainous area.The fifth chapter is the third part of the thesis.Based on the previous analysis and field exploration,firstly this part discusses the protection of building brick carvings at Handan's western mountain area,and the gateway as a protection example,the protection status can be divided into three conditions: well-preserved,partially damaged,and severely damaged.The well-preserved should be protected by daily maintenance;the partially damaged should be protected by repair;the severely damaged bricks should be repaired using the original materials and the original process.Finally,we put the pattern of gateway protection into other building carvings,and this part also discusses the technical problems faced by brick carving protection and the problems in the social field,and proposes corresponding solutions.The research focus of this paper is on the artistic features and protection measures of brick carvings in traditional residential buildings in Handan's western mountainous area.Through literature research,field exploration,comparative research,screening cases,etc.,we believe that the traditional residential building brick carvings in Handan western mountainous area are basically consistent with the Tianjin brick carvings and Shanxi brick carvings in terms of composition,color and decorative style;However,in contrast,the brick carving lacks the flexible carving technique of Tianjin brick carving,and the carving technique is slightly single;the brick carving also lacks the simplicity and exquisite craftsmanship of Shanxi brick carving,and the style features are slightly rough and sturdy.Its artistic characteristics are characterized by simplicity,low-key,rough and dignified.The research results have important theoretical and practical guiding significance for the protection and development of traditional brick buildings in Handan western mountainous area.
