With the development of the economy and the intensification of global competition,the construction market is undergoing profound changes.The engineering contracting model and management system have gradually entered the track of standardization,specialization and scientific.The traditional project management model has been difficult to adapt to market requirements and professional management.The EPC model is in line with the objective requirements of the owners and the trend of market development.However,due to the short application time of the EPC model in China,the general contracting enterprise has insufficient experience in the cost control of the EPC project.The main concern is the actual cost incurred at each stage,which is rarely considered from the life cycle cost.Therefore,the EPC project has a loss.Phenomena often occur in China.Based on the construction procedures and characteristics of the EPC model,this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages,applicability and cost control characteristics of the EPC model.From the perspective of overall planning,the EPC model is studied from the three stages of design,procurement and construction.Construction cost control method.In the design stage,BIM technology and value engineering theory are used to deeply optimize and compare the design schemes,and a technical and economic balance optimal scheme is selected among multiple optimization schemes to realize cost control;in the procurement phase,based on The information interaction of BIM technology makes the procurement operation deeply intersect with the design and construction links,that is,the material and equipment information that the project is about to purchase is fully considered in the design,the market investigation and analysis are carried out in advance,and the real-time supply can be provided according to the project needs in the implementation stage.Equipment materials reduce the risk of storage costs or delays in construction.Through the comprehensive evaluation method,the strategic cooperation suppliers are selected by fully considering the factors of price,quality and service,so as to control the cost of the procurement stage.In the construction stage,the BIM model is combined with the earned value method to carry out 5D dynamic cost monitoring ofthe construction process,and timely discovery Deviation,analysis of the reasons,take the corresponding corrective measures to achieve cost control of the construction process.Finally,the theory and method of cost control research are applied to the actual case of EPC project,which provides a reference for the establishment of cost control system for EPC general contracting enterprises in China.The research results of this paper mainly focus on the full-cycle cost control of EPC projects using BIM and other technologies,improve the profit space of general contracting enterprises,and enhance the core competitiveness of China's general contracting enterprises,which can provide reference for the application of EPC model in China.
