BIM technology has accompanied the transformation of the construction industry to the information industry.After CAD brought the first technological revolution to the construction industry,BIM technology will trigger another technological change in the construction industry.The core of BIM technology is to provide an information sharing platform,so that project participants can communicate on different platforms of the same project on the same platform,change the way workers communicate,open up barriers to information gap between industries,and improve the information exchange and sharing degree of project participants.BIM technology automation,visualization,simulation and other functions to solve the invisible defects of the project model,improve the efficiency and accuracy of the transfer of engineering data information between the parties,and provide important technical support for the cost control of each stage of engineering construction.Firstly,the paper analyzes the status quo of BIM technology and cost control application at home and abroad through literature analysis,and illustrates the advantages of BIM technology in engineering cost control compared with traditional technology.And in view of the current problems of cost control,combined with the characteristics of BIM technology to develop an effective solution.Then the structural equation model is used to analyze the influencing factors of BIM technology in cost control,and the influence degree of different influencing factors on cost control effect in cost control is summarized.Then analyze the application of BIM technology in the various stages of dock construction for cost control application methods,including the use of Revit to model and estimate the engineering quantity in the early stage of the project.The design stage derives the engineering quantity from the software and uses Navisworks to perform collision detection on the model to optimize the design.During the construction phase,the construction process is simulated,and Project is used for progress management.Finally,through the actual case analysis,the application of BIM technology in the cost control application effect at each stage demonstrates that the application of BIM technology in the construction of the terminal project has a good effect on cost control.Therefore,applying BIM technology to engineering construction significantly improves the shortage of cost control work and promotes the efficiency and accuracy of cost management.
