The Application And Evaluation Of Native Plants In Urban Gardens In Hainan

The application of native plants in urban gardens is an important symbol of the characteristics of the plant landscape in one region.Native plants have the superior properties and unique advantages of garden application which are incomparable to other greening materials,such as obvious local characteristics,strong ecological adaptability,convenient cultivation and management,and cost saving.Improving the species and diversity of native tree species in urban greening is of great significance for improving the urban ecological environment,building a harmonious garden city with natural and cultural characteristics.The popularity of native plants in the city to promote long-standing gardens in the Hainan city landscape also change rapidly.And species of native plants is more abundant than before,species,but Hainan still has some problems in the practical application.This study has extended the definition of native plants.The native plants defined in this article include not only local plants in Hainan but also plants that have been adapted to Hainan's climatic environment after long-term introduction,cultivation and domestication.Among them,some plants also have the historical and cultural connotations of Hainan or form distinctive regional features.This study selected different types of urban green space systems in Hainan for research,including urban parks,residential areas,star hotels,and urban roads.Through reviewing related documents and researching methods,The present situation and configuration of native plants in Hainan's urban gardens were investigated and arranged.By means of scientific evaluation methods such as AHP and FCE,the native plants used in Hainan cities were evaluated and analyzed in terms of individuals and communities.The evaluation and application results are as follows:(1)In this paper,under the definition of native plants,617 species of local plants commonly used in Hainan city gardens,including 129 families and 89 genera,are divided into four types:endemic species,native species,naturalization species and cultivated species,which provide basic information for plant seed selection in the future.(2)Through visits to nurseries and consultation with experts,objectively analyze the factors affecting the popularization and application of native plants,and from the perspective of gardeners,landscape designers,garden builders,nursery producers,scientific research workers,and governments,the three suggestions are made.(3)Graded evaluations of 617 native plants commonly used in urban gardens in Hainan were classified into grades I,II,and III according to the overall benefit score,of which 363 were rated as grade I,190 were grade II,and 190 were grade III.64 species of plants.Local plants in Hainan are categorized,and the most suitable species are introduced in different green space systems or environments.(4)Comprehensive evaluation of the native plant landscape from the plant community landscape,selecting the optimal plant configuration form for analysis,and exploring the objective laws of the seven plant landscapes.(5)Through the excavation of the image and culture of the native plants in Hainan,it is found that the construction mode of the native plants in Hainan should be combined with the principles of ecology,function,culture,art and economy,and should be organically combined with other landscape elements,such as terrain,mountain and stone,water body,architecture,road and so on.
