Native Lants And Urban Landscape

Plant landscape mere formalism; lack of Ecological View; plant material excessive dependence of alien plants; plant landscape lack of the city's historical and cultural expression. These are the current problem in urban landscape construction. Through depth analysis of the ecological,cultural,regional characteristics of native plants , exploring the criteria of native plants to create ecological,regional,and cultural urban landscape .Proposed that grasp of the ecological,regional,cultural characters, application of native plants in reasonable way to establish city landscape which is main of native plants is the future direction.In allusion to the lack of native plant investigation for garden application in the western region, in this paper the author invested the native plants in Yinchuan City landscape, which raised the issue and give recommendations: inventory native plant's resources, and scaled production; establish native plant garden evaluation system; give priority to the native plant's ecological characters .These proposals for native plants have the same applicability for other cities.Furthermore, the author discussed three points of native plants: the scope of the concept range , the criteria of ornamental Value , the expression of homeland feeling .Then suggested that enhance the cognition of the native plants is the fundamental to widening native plant garden application .
