Landscape Design And Evaluation Of The Memorial Landscape Plants Of Xishu Garden

Memory is one of the particular properties of xishu garden,and is the core content of whole garden space,carrying the history culture and emotion.At present,The research of Xishu garden mainly consentrate on Garden art,Garden space,Garden visiting and so on.But lack of reaserch about plant landscape memorial,Plants is one of the most important elements in making up the exterior space environment of Xishu garden.It is inevitable for making memory atomosphere.So this article take the plant landscape as the breakthrough point,aim at the Xishu garden’s trait of menmory from the qualitative and quantitative aspects to have plant landscape evaluation.The purpose is to summarize the principles and strategies for the construction of the plant landscape in the memory of Xishu gardens.The main results are as follows:(1)The memory of Xishu gardens is mainly reflected in the following aspects: the cultural connotation of plants,the visual characteristics of plant landscape,the space construction of plant landscape and the integration of plants and other landscape elements.(2)According AHP to establish the memory of Xishu gardens plant landscape evaluation model,calculate the weight of five quantitative and nine qualitative evaluation factors,the conclusion is that the colour thematic(C22),commemorative theme landscape coordination(C33),overall form(C21),fitness of culture connotation(C31)get the higher weight in 15 indexes,the socres are 0.1248,0.1231,0.1182,0.1151.(3)Selecting 18 plant sample plots in Dufu Thatched Cottage,Wangjiang Pavillion,Temple of Marquis Wu,and rank it.The results is concluded that there are six I rank sample plots,accounting for 43% of the total sample plots.There are eight sample plots of Ⅱrank,accounting for 57% of the total sample plots.There is no sample plots of Ⅲ & Ⅳrank.The result is concluded that the Xishu garden’s plant landscape is better for memorial buliding as a whole,and giving advise for some optimization measures,such as rich vertical plants the lower space,strengthening of garden plant maintenance management,enhance identifiability of garden plants.(4)The principles of Xishu garden’s memorial buliding are as follows:to build a good ecological harmonious environment,to create a rich connotation of memorial artisticconception,to identify the memorial objects and to pay attention to the color of the memorial theme;The features of Xishu garden plant lanscape design are mainly reflected in the selection of plant,space construction and integrate with other landscape elements.
