Abstract/Summary:
The aging situation is quite severe in our country now,and the aged would have special requirements with the aged care buildings as the result of the decline with their physiological function. However, the study of the aged care buildings in our country is mainly focus on the aspects of the environment and living space, and has little research with the physical environment and natural lighting of the aged care buildings, especially with the non-visual effects of the light, which is a research hotspot in international daylighting and illumination field. The non-visual effects of the light will have significant influence to the physical and psychological health of the aged, and according to many researches, appropriate light will be helpful to improve sleep disorders and would relieve the disorder circadian rhythm of early Alzheimer patients, thus alleviate seasonal affective disorder. However,no matter in domestic or abroad, there is not so much research with the non-visual effects of natural light with aged care buildings. This thesis first conducts a review of the latest research results of the non-visual effects of light both in domestic and abroad, and elaborates the physiological mechanism of non-visual effects as well as its influence to the health of human beings. It pays great attention to the review of the five factors that affected the non-visual effects of light, and analyzes and summarizes the international assessment framework for non-visual effects,as well as selected a suitable assessment model based on biological illumination threshold. This research takes the most representative apartment for the aged of Nanjing as the study object, and analyzes and assesses the visual luminous environment of the selected standard room by field visit and measurement. Then,it adopts the assessment model that based on biological illumination threshold, and conducts research to the natural light non-visual effects of the selected standard room by computer analog technologies, and has a further discussion about the influence of the orientation to the natural light non-visual effects.Through this research,it shows that in the aspect of luminous environment, the actual measurement of the average illuminance is between 245-5801ux,and daylight factor is between 4.67%-4.84%.The DF from the dynamic simulation of the whole year is 4.73%,DA300lux is 69.92%and UDI100-2000lux is 59.63%.In the aspect of non-visual effects,we can discover that more than half of the time of the whole building will cause the aged to have a 100%degree of non-visual response through the analysis of DA atlas.Besides, the closer to the daylight opening, the stronger natural light non-visual response it will be.In the aspect of temporal distribution, the illuminance is almost symmetry with the changing of the time during 06:00 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 18:00,and will achieve the maximum lighting stimulation of non-visual effects at noon.Take 12:00 of the noon as the axis,a certain normal distribution is made to the sides.By contrast investigation of the performance of the luminous environment that meets the visual requirements in the non-visual aspect,we can see that during 06:00-10:00,the luminous environment can meet the visual requirements, but cannot stimulate enough non-visual response of the aged.High illuminance standard level at dusk or in the evening may cause their improper non-visual response, thus will be harmful to the health of the aged.Through the research of the influence of building orientation to the indoor non-visual effects,we can discover that during 06:00-10:00,the non-visual effect of light stimulation is the maximum in east orientation, south orientation takes the second place, and west and north orientation are the least.During 10:00-18:00,the non-visual effect of light stimulation is the maximum in west orientation, south orientation takes the second place, and east and north orientation are the least. However, through the analysis of the whole time quantum from 06:00-18:00,we discovered that the non-visual effect of light stimulation is the most stable in south orientation, east and west orientation take the second place, and north orientation is the last one.The paper took typical apartment for the aged in Nanjing area as research objects and studies vision and non-vision lighting environment, which is a supplementation for our current natural lighting research field of aged care architecture. With the further social reform, various industries are facing transition and upgrading and design for aged care architectures also need supply a kind of new method, which is beneficial to lighting research and design upgrading of ages care architectures and plays active roles for promoting development of healthy lighting environment on aged care architectures. The whole thesis contains about 52 732 words,135 pictures and charts.
