With richer functionality of the campus, its sonic environment pollution has become increasingly serious. Road traffic noise is one of the main pollution sources in the campus, and it makes the campus traffic noise research be widely attention. Noise mapping is an important content of noise reduction project, and it plays a positive role in noise control. In recent years, the noise maps production and application have got more attention of countries and scientific units, which are also one of the important subject of traffic noise prediction. This article aim to describe campus sound environment quality by using noise maps, and feasible noise control measures are put forward. We analyzes that whether the commonly traffic noise prediction models are used in campus noise prediction applicability, and the working process of the noise map method, and introduces that the principle of attenuation, when noise spreads outside. According to the routine of university and the characteristics of the campus planning, we measured the noise of teaching zone. The equivalent continuous A sound level was chose to characterize the measurements. We discuss the models of the campus noise model, making the correlation between the model that we describe and the ISO model. Using campus environment data resources and professional noise prediction software, we draw the noise maps of the teaching zone, and analyze the effect of different meteorological conditions on the campus sound environment.According to the noise maps, we analysis the relationship between geography spatial and environment noise. Based on the instances, we introduce reasonable campus plannings and architectural designs to discuss the environmental noise in spatial distribution, and the result indicates the effective combination of the planning and architectural design and noise maps can better analysis the environmental noise, providing support for campus planning, the campus noise control. This article combines external acoustic design and noise maps data, and combine the campus building sound insulation design standards, puts forward that the campus wall sound insulation design should be combined with environmental noise, not only construction meet the requirements of sound insulation, but also reduce the effects of environmental noise on indoor effect at the same time.
