Through the background research on the status quo of aging in China,the importance of outdoor activities for the elderly is learned.Always in the process of the literature,can be found that the existing research is more focused on the outdoor space of the aged community or House for the Aged,the research on the outdoor activity space of the retirement organization is relatively limited.Therefore,this paper mainly based on the elderly behavior,studies the outdoor space of the retirement organization in Nanjing.Corroborate the theoretical research and the actual research,then organize the related design strategies of the outdoor space of the retirement organization.In the theoretical research,collected the related content of about the mentality,the physiology and the behavior pattern of old people.Combining the new features of old age,obtained a new definition of outdoor space for the elderly.Then study the retirement organization include international and domestic history,combined the development process of endowment policy,summarize the development trend of outdoor space.In the actual research,collected the basic situation of the old-age institutions and the elderly-care policy in Nanjing city.According to the actual investigation of the four retirement organization in Nanjing,finding the advantages and disadvantages of the actual use of the old people.Finally,provide the corresponding design strategies from the planning and design level,the space design level,the environmental design level and the facility design level.At the end of this paper,combined with actual project——the ORPEA International Center PHEII in Xianlin,using the related design strategies are described in this paper summarized.
