Research On The Outdoor Space Design Of Shenzhen Nursing Institution For The Aged From The Perspective Of Physical Activity

The regular physical activity of the elderly has outstanding benefits in delaying the decline of function and improving chronic diseases.In the case of rapid development of the old-age care institutions,the design of outdoor space is insufficient,especially in cities with tight use in Shenzhen,the outdoor physical strength of the elderly.The activity space cannot be well protected.How to improve and optimize the existing space of the old-age care institution,and summarize the outdoor space design strategy that meets the needs of the elderly physical activity has practical guiding significance,so that the elderly living in the old-age care institution can have better physical and mental health.Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and supporting space theory,this paper proposes the spatial demand level of physical activity.Starting from the space demand of physical activity of the elderly,the design of outdoor space is mainly carried out by the old-age care institution in Shenzhen.It mainly includes the following contents: summarizing the types and contents of physical activity of the elderly in the old-age care institutions through interviews and questionnaires.Frequency,time and other characteristics,and the observation records of physical activity in the Nanshan District and Luohu District Social Welfare Center,combined with the interview content analysis and summary of the specific content of different spatial requirements level of physical activity.For the outdoor space level,the current situation and composition of the outdoor space of the old-age care institution are analyzed through field investigation,and the outdoor space is divided into three types of activity space: mobile type,stay type and composite type.Then,based on the Seniors’ Outdoor Survey,the activity space was evaluated,and the advantages and disadvantages of the activity space of the three old-age institutions were analyzed.Finally,the Luohu District and the Yantian District Social Welfare Center,which have many problems,put forward specific feasible optimization suggestions,and summarized the design strategies of the outdoor space and the mobile,stop and composite activity spaces,and proposed under the limited conditions of the site.Optimization of the transformation method.It is hoped that this research can guide the optimization of the outdoor activity space of Shenzhen old-age care institutions and provide reference for the design and optimization of outdoor space of the same type of old-age care institutions.
