Population aging is an inevitable trend of social development that the world must face. China has entered the aging society, because China’s national conditions and basic situation that getting old before getting rich, so the government proposing home care and community endowment policy, focusing on the construction of the pension community environment, striving for a livable living environment of the elderly. The purpose of this paper is to reach the elderly living environment through the residential landscape design, and sum up how to use humane care landscape design details to guide future retirement community landscape design work.This paper combining theoretical and practical method, taking the elderly who can take care of themselves as the main object, the economic level as a measure of the average of family’s retirement community.Clear definition of the concept of humane care, from the humane care perspective to explore the elderly psychological, physiological, behavioral patterns requirements of the environment. Researching community outdoor landscape road system, static and dynamic activity space and other ornamental plants water environment with theory and actual cases. Explore how the landscape design embodies the humanistic care for the elderly. In addition, inspecting and analyzing the landscape environment of outstanding retirement community at home and abroad, learning from the experience of abroad, and raised that increase the environment portion of the elderly needs in an ordinary residential area landscape design, and strive for the elderly to provide a safe, healthy, comfortable, communication, value reflection, barrier-free, livable environment.
