The Study Of Architectural Language Of The Dai People In Dehong Based On Architectural Linguistics

As the unique national architecture in Yunnan region,Dehong's Dai architecture is not common in 21 century.Instead,modern architecture with ethnic elements becomes popular.Both of these two types of architecture are particular.The questions that how to describe the features of these two categories,and how to show the inherent relationship of these two types in detailed description,are worth thinking by designers for this area.As the important method of architectural design,Architectural Linguistics has been in-depth researched by a variety of scholars;though these studies are mainly focused on theories and literal description.This dissertation aiming at a new angle that from both language description and graphic expression,based on original architectural linguistics,split a building into vocabularies of building units by reclassifying the architectural linguistics.This thesis will summarize vocabularies,rhetoric and syntax in Dehong's Dai architecture;generalizing,classifying,and summarizing vocabulary of architectural language by architectural linguistics.Also using the way of organization to combining and applying the architectural language vocabulary,to comprise different and attractive building phrases,and then make up the elements like building monomers,the building groups and cities.During practicing and researching,the architectural forms of the Dehong area was gradually approached.And with a large number of collection and contrast of the local architectural forms,appropriate vocabularies and phrases were summarized.Besides,those vocabularies and phrases were both tested by analysing examples.At the end of the thesis,the vocabularies,rhetoric and syntax of the Architectural Linguistics was validated further,as well as the discussion of Architectural Linguistics would give new way to describe form of architectural design was discussed,by planning and designing Mans national primary school.In addition,based on these,applying and modifying part method of the Architectural Linguistic,comparing the change of the form,and evaluating at the last.
