Research On Modern Japanese Architecture Based On Nationality

In today’s fast-growing society,the buildings around us are becoming more and more similar.The reason is that we are so eager to pursue efficiency that we forget the most valuable traditional culture in our traditional architecture.But in the flood of history,Japanese architecture stands out,with its unique national character and Oriental charm.So far,Japan Eight Pritzker Prize-winning architects are coming from Japan."Japanese architecture" is standing out of the world.As a country separated from Japan,while we lament that its architecture is of great epochal significance,we should explore the root causes of its formation,so as to make an important contribution to the development of China’s construction industry.This article takes "nationality" as the breakthrough point,and explores how Japanese nationality affects Japanese architecture.Take "discovering problems-analyzing problems-solving problems-drawing conclusions" as the context of the article.Firstly,it investigates the current research situation at home and abroad,understands the concept of nationality,and analyses the main reasons for its formation,including natural environment,social background and religious beliefs.It is also found that the manifestation of national character in Japanese people is crisis consciousness,collective consciousness,hierarchical spirit and military thought,in order to prove that national character is indeed an important factor leading to the distinction of modern Japanese architecture.After consulting a large number of Japanese modern and contemporary architectural materials,from three aspects of form,space and spirit,and by enumerating examples,this paper sums up the manifestation ways of national character in architecture.The main manifestation ways in architecture form are the use of pure geometric form,the practicability of bionic structure,etc.The manifestation ways in architectural space are the transitory nature of architectural space.At last,it concludes the ideology of impermanence and transmigration at the spiritual level.Through discussion,it is explained that the national character makes modern and contemporary Japanese architecture unique in the world architecture forest.The ultimate purpose of this paper is to find the expression rule of national character in architecture through the study of Japanese modern architecture under the influence of national character,so as to provide a feasible research method for discussing how to embody national characteristics in the development of architecture in China.
