A Fusion Between Public Art And Modern Religious Architecture In The Niushou Mountain Park In Nanjing

A Fusion between public art and architecture is more common in modern cities,such asthe bird's nest,water cube and so on.However,for religious architecture,within the range of fusion in Chinese seem quite straight and narrow.The completion of the roof of the Usnisa Palace in the Niushou Mountain Park in Nanjing is a very important work in the field,which has a great influence on the public art field.As a case of the Chinese mainland's more remarkable public art and religious architecture,the Usnisa Palace in the Niushou Mountain Park in Nanjing can be seen as an example of innovation.Therefore,this paper analyses the fusion between public art and modern religious architecture.Firstly,the paper expounds the research background,content,methods and the related concepts of public art and religious architecture.Then,the characteristics of the public art of religious architecture are elaborated from four aspects,namely,cultural regionality,form originality,functional artistry and technological integration.Then from the background,Usnisa Palace space sequence,architectural shape and decorative connotations,installation art concept and multiple media and interaction design to the Usnisa Palace in the Niushou Mountain Park in Nanjing mainly discusses the design expression of,Finally,the author summarizes the significance of the fusion between public art and religious architecture and extends it to related fields,and expounds its influence and enlightenment.The author hopes that the research on this field will provide a reference for the absence of the Chinese mainland in the integration of public art and religious architecture.
