Study Of Engineered Structure In Early-Modern Nanjing

As a special type of building,engineering structure is influenced by the western modern building system and has a unique construction,structure,and operation process.At the same time,it is often neglected as a dependency of the main building,and related protection and research are less.As an early port city of China and the capital of the National Government,Nanjing,especially in the process of urban construction led by the National Government and guided by the Capital Plan,a large number of engineering structures with distinctive technical characteristics emerged.In addition,the emergence of many modern engineering structures in Nanjing is of great significance,not only creating a number of "China first","Asia first",but also participating in and witnessing many major historical events in modern China.Therefore,Nanjing’s modern engineering structures have high historical and technical value.The development of its research will help to further explore the process of the spread and influence of western architectural systems in China,as well as the exploration of the development of modern Chinese architectural technology.Based on the collation and discovery of historical data,this paper divides the development process of modern engineering structures in Nanjing into three stages: first appearance,prosperity,and stagnation.Some typical cases are selected.Through historical data analysis and field investigation,historical development,operational processes,and architecture Focus on technical characteristics and other aspects.This article is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the research background,concept definition,research status,research purpose,research framework,etc.;The second chapter is an overview of modern engineering structures in Nanjing.It expounds the time phases,architectural features,and preservation status of modern engineering structures in Nanjing.It sorts out the existing structures.The third chapter is the development stages of modern engineering structures in Nanjing.It summarizes the historical background and architectural characteristics of the completed structures in the three development stages of emergence,prosperity and stagnation in chronological order.Chapters 4 and 5 are typical case studies of Nanjing’s modern engineering structures.Individual cases and group cases are selected respectively,and the analysis is carried out from the aspects of historical evolution,operation mode,and architectural technical characteristics.Chapter 6 concludes and summarizes the characteristics of modern engineering structures in Nanjing.The total number of words in this article is about 67,000 words,with 165 drawings and 3 forms.
