The complex on 292 Changjiang road in Nanjing(now is the Presidential Palace Nanjing),is the largest and best-preserved one of the Chinese Modern architectural remains.It has been the Liang Jiang Governor's Mansion(1647-1853,1864-1911),the Sun Yat-sen Interim Presidential Palace(1912),the Nanjing National Govemment(1927-1937,1946-1948)and the President of Republic of China(1948-1949),which makes it such an important place considering the value on both architecture and history.This paper studied about the history,space layout and the transition of the complex on 292 Changjiang road in Nanjing city,focusing on the development process of the site and architectural phenomenon periodically.And the influential factors including history,culture,economy,and technology are also involved in this paper.Chapter 1 is the introduction part,elaborated the research background and topic,research object,purpose and method proposed research methods,research content and research framework.Chapter 2 described the history transition on detail of the complex from 1647 till now.Chapter 3 presented the space layout transition of the complex on 292 Changjiang road in Nanjing city,and then analyzed the space distinctions.Chapter 4 gathered architectural information of all single buildings in the complex,then selected 5 typical single buildings to have an in-deep study.The last chapter is a conclusion of all of the studies,Some problems are put in the last summary and outlook,I hope they can be improved in the future study.
