Study On Renewal Design Of Luanda Old City Formal Planning,informal City,integrated And Systemic Urbanism

The city / municipality of Luanda has about 2.107 648 in habitants,is the most populous with about 32% of the resident population in the province.The city has had an uncontrolled growth of population and construction over time.The civil war that lasted about 27 years brought the need for security of the population,which influenced even more the concentration of the population in Luanda.The influence of the planning and territorial management system on the organization of the city of Luanda will be analyzed through a literature review based mainly on documentary research and fieldwork to understand the functioning of the planning system and identify the factors that have been Basis of the evolution of the urban spot in Luanda.The Angolan territorial planning system had / have little influence on the urban urban production of the city of Luanda.It is a top-down system,very centralized in the Central Administration and not decentralized in the municipalities,which is a consequence of its lack of maturity.Before independence,6 provincial plans were made,only the last one was approved and after independence 5 plans were made.The exponential growth of Luanda has had political-social and economic factors.The growth of the constructions was not accompanied by the identical production rate of the structuring networks.Some strategic plans and orientations had / have influence in the organization of the territory but there is an increasing deficit of execution of the same.
