Research On The Evolution Of Chinese Urban Macro-spatial Planning Since 1949

Since the founding of New China, the development of urban planning in China has gone through an extraordinary 60 years the same as China's urban development. Urban Development is closely related to socio-economic development in China. Last 60 years, urban development was affected by many great events or changes of ideas for the development of the city itself. These effects reflected in the following areas:Industrial restructured and upgraded or distribution of infrastructure cause to bring the restructuring of urban space; Due to changes of the way people travel cause distribution of infrastructure to be adjusted; Changes of urban development concept impact on urban development (For example:Rural areas must support urban development because of urban-rural dual structure in the early days of New China, but now urban must support rural development because we need urban-rural integration development since New Period) and so on.Urban planning needs to respond to all these things above positively.After analyzing the evolution of urban master planning in response to urban development under the conditions of the affected since the founding of New China, we found that the urban master planning concerned about from traditional physical arrangement of urban space to urban social, economic, ecological environment of all-round. On the other hand, with the development of the times,more and more macro-planning began to enter the urban planning system with an independent planning form. These macro-plannings have sieged the urban and regional space. This study emphatically analyzes the following aspects:background, character, concernning the main content of each round of urban master planning since the founding of New China; Researching on implementation of urban master planning by way of cases; Background, concerned about the contents of the other new macro-planning; Comparison these new macro-plannings with the traditional urban master planning. The results are as follows:Firstly, the traditional urban master planning concerns to more and more contents with urban development, but the implementation of the results are more and more worse. Secondly, It's an indisputable fact that urban master planning is often criticized because of its bad implementation results.There appear so many macro-plannings under the theme of the times, they began to carve up the contents which are concerned by traditional urban master planning especially in urban and regional space.Fased with the internal and external problems, this paper presents two ideas for orientating the urban master planning in the future:From the perspective of external environment, Promulgation of "Spatial Planning Act", Straightening out the spatial planning system, making spatial planning play a greater role; From the regulation of urban master planning itself, promulgation of "urban and rural planning-making method" to make urban master planning "weight loss", "urban and rural planning-making method"should have different preparation requirements for cities of different sizes. Ultimately make the guidance of urban and rural planning on the urban and rural development can be achieved.
