Ding villagers house located in linfen city in shanxi xiangfen,yet retained complex is made up of dings family more than a dozen family house,very grand scale,is a representative in shanxi linfen region during the Ming and qing dynasties local-style dwelling houses building,is also one of the typical of northern courtyard.Ding villagers in building wood carving decoration art and cultural value supplement each other,embodies the dingcun man of the people's way of life and yearning for a better life.From ding villagers in architectural decoration,we can see that the traditional culture's influence on the building and even aesthetic,including wood carving is the most outstanding in ding village buildings and part of the relatively intact,its adornment theme is rich in content,carving techniques exquisite and smooth,beautiful unique cultural symbol meaning is profound,is the main research object of this article.This Woodcarving as one of the classic "three stone" art,its modelling,fine workmanship,profound cultural implication and is an inalienable part of Chinese folk arts and crafts,has the very high artistic value and research value.Woodcarving culture not only research the woodcarving,woodcarving craft and woodcarving patterns,more important is to study the cultural connotations behind and its significance in our modern design and application.Therefore,this article will with butyl villagers in the building as an example,study the art of wood carving decoration pattern aesthetic significance,and to apply wood carving decoration pattern for refining and streamline ding village culture propaganda,pushing ding village cultural tourism,let more people find ding village,understanding of ding village,understand our traditional culture.
