Ding Mausoleum is in the Ping'an Yu, 2 kilometers to the westof Yu Mausoleum in the East Qing Royal'Tombs. Ding Mausoleumis the fourth tomb in the East Qing Royal'tombs, which is the finalpalace of the Qing Wen Zong-Yi zhu and his queen Mrs Sakerla,Ping'an Yu was selected as the Ever Place by Xianfeng himself atthe 2nd year of Xianfeng(1852), and started to establish at the 9thyear of Xianfeng. But for various reasons, it was finished at the 4thyear of Tongzhi(1865).From the very beginning of the construction of DingMausoleum, there happened the "controversy of system"。 Thediscourse analyses the different designs of Ding Mausoleum by thedescoveries of the bequeathed Yang shi Lei's drawings. Some ofdesigns of Ding Mausoleum look like Mu Mausoleum, some looklike the comeback of ancestor, while others are the combination ofthe twos.The discourse also analyses the causes why DingMausoleum adopted the system of the Baohua Yu Ever Place.The geography of Ding Mausoleum is steep , therefor themileage is short, the layout is tight..As a result of the influence ofMu Mausoleum strypped-downand the limit of the Geomantic Omenand physiognomy, while coming back to the progenitor system,theform of construction and layout of Ding Mausoleum also came intobeing many particular characteristics. Ding Mausoleum's system isa connecting link between the preceding and the following, in thephylogeny of the Qing Mausoleum system , Ding Mausoleumoccupancies the important position can't be neglected.
