Research On The Design Of Cultural And Creative Products With Wood Carving Patterns In Dingcun’s Dwellings In Shanxi From The Perspective Of Semiotics

The wood carving patterns of the dwellings of Ding Village in Shanxi are one of the splendid cultures in the Yellow River Basin.The rich themes and exquisite carvings make them occupy a pivotal position in the architectural complex of Ding Village.At present,under the background of comprehensive revival of traditional culture,how to promote its integration with modern life has become a top priority for the inheritance and development of Ding Village’s residential wood carving patterns.Taking semiotics as the theoretical guide,this paper conducts an in-depth study on the wood carving patterns of Dingcun’s residences from the perspective of semiotics,and based on this,uses modern design techniques to integrate and innovate the visual and cultural value of the woodcarving patterns of Dingcun’s residences,and finally extends it in the Cultural and creative product design.The first part of the article gives a systematic introduction to symbols,semiotic concepts and theoretical development,in-depth understanding of the development of Dingcun’s dwellings,and interpretation of the background of the generation of Dingcun’s dwellings’ wood carving patterns.The second part,from the perspective of semiotics,analyzes the construction,semantics and pragmatics of Dingcun’s residential woodcarving patterns,summarizes the subject matter and composition of Dingcun’s residential woodcarving patterns,and reveals its inherent culture,value and spirit,analyze the aesthetic value and cultural context it reflects,and lay a theoretical foundation for design practice.In the third part,the author conducts relevant research on the existing wood carving pattern cultural and creative products on the market,and summarizes the principles and methods of cultural and creative product design from the perspective of semiotics.The fourth part takes the style orientation,auspicious cultural connotation transmission and innovation that can express the wood carving pattern culture and inner spirit of Ding Village’s dwellings as the design entry point,combines with modern design methods and methods,extracts corresponding symbolic elements,and transforms traditional wood carving patterns into Practical cultural and creative products,designed a series of cultural and creative products of "Wenso Dingjia".It is hoped that while retaining the cultural charm of traditional wood carving patterns,it will explore its presentation in a modern context,expecting to collide with new sparks,and design cultural and creative products that not only meet the development of the times,but also meet the diverse needs of the current public.The innovative transformation of traditional culture injects vitality and vitality.
