The Research To The Decoration Patterns Of Shandong Qixia Mou’s Manor

Mou-shi Manor traditional dwelling was built in the time of Yong Zheng. It is influenced by geographical environment and historical culture and its architectural decoration has unique artistic manifestation.It is one of the landlord manors, therefore the farming and the folk culture engaged into the architectural decoration, forming a steady and stocky architecture decorative style with less publicity and magnificence, different from the traditional dwellings.By analyzing the decoration patterns, the development of the Mu-shi manor can be expressed clearly and the unique artistic content can be explored.Extensive field research on the Mu-shi manor had done at the early stage of the paper writing. A lot of figures and written texts were collected at the same time. The study of this project can be divided into four parts.The cultural origins were discussed firstly, including regional culture, historical culture, religious culture, folk culture and the arts.The next section is the key areas of this paper. By analyzing the modeling elements of the decoration patterns, including decorative practices’ change, pattern of manifestation, organizational and composition forms, the complex and flexing characteristics will be reflected.Then a comparison was made in four aspects between Mu-shi manor and Confucian temples,which is representative of Qi faction and Lu faction in Qilu ancient historical region,respectively. The four aspects consist of theme, color, material and crafting techniques.The last part is the creation practice, the development mentality and the designing scheme was put forward in the packaging of the featured products, from the aspect of modern design with the study of the decoration patterns. They are illustrated with the working sketches at the same time.In this project, at the base of the analysis, the quintessence was absorbed and the artistic value of the Mu-shi Manor was expanded and developed in the modern design.Then let the attractive appearance and the lovely rhythms of the decoration pattern be important inspiration elements in the modern design.The innovation of the residential decorative arts can be promoted, then I prefer to offer some help to the research work in the same project in the future.
