Abstract/Summary:
Work-family conflict is a kind of conflict between work and family role,as a congflict caused by the incompaticity between work and family role,which is widely used in the study of job burnout,job satisfaction and other indicators,work as the intermediate variable that affects the interaction between other psychological variables.With the development of urbanization,the increase in the number of duel-career families,psychological the problems brought about by work-family conflict become increasingly prominent.As a labor-intensive industry,construction industry has absorbed a large number of rural surplus labor,plays an important role in the transformation of rural population in the urban-rural structure.Construction workers have the figure of high level of labor intensity,risk,and work pressure.And most of the workers in construction industry are from urban area,separated from their families,in which case their work and family roles have inevitably conflict,and work-family conflict will affect mental health through pressure and exhaustion.At present,the research of the mental health of construction industry workers is still in the initial stage.Most of the studies on the work-family conflict of urban labors are mostly on the surface without analyzing their antecedents.Therefore,it is necessary to study the work-family conflict and its antecedents of construction industry workers.In order to reveal the current situation of the occupational psychological heath in construction industry,fulfill the idea of “people oriented”,this study aims at construction workers as the target object,work-family conflict with significant professional characteristics as main variable,make an empirical study on Beijing construction workers’ work-family conflict situation bases on a questionnaire.First this study constructs the framework of antecedents of workers’ conflict in construction industry by literature review and workshop interviews,develops the questionnaire of work-family conflict and its antecedents for the workers in construction industry.Collect data by the questionnaire.Analyses all the antecedents chat have been studied in theoretical perspective,then deeply analyses the concept of “work-family conflict”,bring out relatively research hypothesis,afterwards,bases on the data makes a well simulated SEC model through reliability test and confirmatory factor analysis,in result of the simulation is the path coefficient and strength of the antecedents of the work-family conflict of construction workers.In the end,according to the results of the study of domestic construction workers occupational health management policy recommendations are made.The management of the construction industry workers is of great strategic significance.A good management system can maintain the efficient operation and healthy development of the industry on one hand and have positive impact on the urbanization of migrant workers on the other hand.It is hoped that this study will enhance the understanding of the workers’ mental health problems,enhance the effectiveness of occupational health management of the enterprises and construction industry,and deepen the specialized mental health management system of the construction workers.
