In 2016 the state department issued a report regarding suggestions on strengthening the protection and care-provision of rural leftover children,the report points out that government at all levels should reinforce the care work of rural left-behind children,as well as preserving the legitimate rights and interests of the under age,this is also a common responsibility for families and the society as a whole.The problem of left-behand children in rural areas is a critical social problem caused by the loss of rural labour force in China's social transformation period.The problems of education,safety and mental health of left-behind children in rural areas have been the focus of the whole society in recent years.However,there is still opening space for research and studies to be done on spatial environment of left-behind children in rural areas.A good spatial environment is an important factor for the healthy growth of left-behind children in rural areas,and will have different impacts on the growth of children and development of all aspects.So,from the perspective of environment design,this article analyses the particularity of rural left-behind children and their demand for environment with the use of child psychology and environmental behaviour theory.Apart from that,according to the reality of rural left-behind children problem and the current situation of our new rural construction,the article raises a more humanized rural left-behind children space environment design strategy,which brings quotable opinion on how to solve the problem if rural left-behind children.The first chapter is the introduction of the whole article.It mainly summarizes the research background,research status,research purpose and significance,research methods,thesis framework and innovation points.It brings people a brief idea on what is this thesis about.The second and third chapters focus on theoretical research.It analyses the current situation and problems of the research objects in a deeper way.The second chapter discussed the correlation between rural left-behind children and space environment study.Based on the theories of sociology,psychology and other knowledge,this chapter studies the influence of space environment to rural left-behind children and the environmental need of rural left-behind children.The third chapter concentrates on the current status of rural left-behind children space environment,this chapter analyses the existing concern of rural left-behind children in the space environment on the basis of exi'sting theory through real field investigation and other research methods.The fourth chapter talks about the study of the design method of this paper.Based on the previous theoretical analysis presented in previous two chapters,this chapter summarizes the principles of rural left-behind children space environment design and requirements,and it comes up with possible space environment design method that better suits the current rural left-behind children's growth and development.Not only that,it also solves the potential issues of rural left-behind children in areas like psychology,security,education to some extent.Finally,this paper applies the result of this study to the design case of children's activity center in xintian county,yongzhou city,which is a more practical exploration.
