The Research On The Social Integration Of Floating Population From The Perspective Of Residential Space

Since the reform and opening-up of our country,a great amount of floating population has flooded into the city,which has made a tremendous contribution to the urban economic construction.However,because of the dualistic structure system of urban and rural areas,the floating population still cannot enjoy the same treatment as the urban residents in some respects,which puts them in an awkward situation—it is difficult for them to integrate into the city as well as to return to the countryside.Against the background of the new-type urbanization,the study of the social integration of the floating population is of great significance to promote the urbanization and the social and economic stability of the floating population.In the existing literature,the measurement dimensions of social integration are mainly economy,society,culture,and psychology and so on.From the perspective of residential space,this paper constructs a social integration measurement system by taking the living and community space index as a part of it.Taking the floating population of Dianqianshe in Xiamen as an example,the social integration measurement system is used to quantify social integration.Based on the investigation of current situation and data analysis,the problems of social integration of floating population are analyzed,and the existing problems are simulated and compared by simulation,analyzing their respective contributions to the social integration after the improvements and optimization so as to find what problems,if addressed,would be more efficient in promoting social integration of the floating population.Then some proposals of promoting the social integration of the floating population are offered.The full text is divided into seven chapters.The main contents are as follows: The first chapter is an introduction of the research background,significance,purpose,plan and core concepts,etc.The second chapter is literature review about the social integration theory,measurement index system and research content.The third chapter selects social integration measurement indicators and filtera them to build a social integration measurement system.The fourth chapter carries out an empirical analysis on the floating population of Dianqianshe in Xiamen,understanding the status of the Dianqianshe and the social integration of the floating population,and measuring the social integration of the floating population.The fifth chapter uses the current survey and data to analyze the existing problems of the social integration of the floating population in Dianqianshe.Through the simulation and analysis,a quantitative simulation comparison of the existing problems is made to find what problems,if addressed,would be more efficient to promote the social integration of the floating population.The sixth chapter proposes corresponding strategies and suggestions for promoting more effective social integration of floating population.The seventh chapter summarizes the deficiencies of the main conclusions and research,and makes a prospect for the follow-up study of social integration of floating population.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: first,it is feasible to construct a social integration measurement system from the perspective of residential space.Second,it is more effective to solve the problem of participation in community activities,income issues,problems with local residents,and cultural service facilities to promote the social integration of the floating population of the community.
